In late 2019, I was commissioned by Patton'd Studios to design the visual identity for Carbon Cybernetics, a Melbourne based med-tech company developing advanced neurotechnology for the treatment of epilepsy.
In July 2020, Carbon Cybernetics received $1M in funding to further develop their high resolution cortical devices for the prediction and prevention of epileptic seizures. The team have attributed the professionalism expressed by their new brand to their recent successes.
The graphics used across the brand identity were designed to reference neural-like forms, connoting transmission and depth. Lavender was chosen as the primary brand colour for the company as it is the international colour representing epilepsy awareness. Together, these elements help to provide audiences something visually distinctive to remember about the company and their expertise.
